This page explains how our website uses cookies. We keep them to a minimum — we do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use Google Analytics.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files a website saves on your device. They are widely used to make websites work and to remember information between pages.
The cookies we use
Essential cookie (always on)
When you visit, we set one essential cookie. It keeps the site secure: it protects our contact and booking forms from misuse, powers the anti-spam check on those forms, and keeps staff signed in to the admin area. The website cannot work properly without it, so it is not used to track you.
Third-party tools on certain pages
A few pages include services from other companies. These may set their own cookies, but only when you visit those particular pages:
- Booking — our online table booking is provided by ResDiary, and any card payment or deposit is handled securely by Stripe. These set cookies that are needed to run the booking and protect payments.
- Contact — this page shows a Google Map, which may set Google cookies.
- Home — if we display our latest Facebook posts, the images load from Facebook. We collect the posts on our own server, so simply browsing our homepage does not share your details with Facebook.
Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your web browser's settings, and you can set your browser to block them. Please note that if you block the essential cookie, our forms and online booking may not work correctly. For the third-party tools listed above, please refer to ResDiary, Stripe, Google and Facebook's own cookie and privacy policies.
If you have any questions about how we use cookies, please get in touch.
